Bankstown Showground - South West of Sydney was the site of Speedway racing in the early to mid 1950s and the starting point for the famous Johnny Stewart's Speedway career in a Stock Car.
Not many meetings were held at the venue.
The following photos were sent to me at Vintage Speedway by motor racing enthusiast and top graphic artist - Brian Caldersmith - thank you Brian C.
