In February 2006 I attempted to get some in car footage of my engine start in Q5 at Cullen Bullen Speedway.
I was using ( as can be seen in the photo) a minature Video camera ( a toy really ) a 320 x 240 format camera running on an SD card , which if it had not reacted to the vibrations would have captured magnificent footage.
As you can see the static footage is brilliant, but as soon as there was the slightest vibration because of the low resolution and tiny ( 320 x 240 ) format it resulted in a
' wavy ' type distortion.
Although they are not perfect images, I think it is good enough for you to get an idea what it is like on the track in Q5 for a couple of warm up laps.
Sorry about the quality but it is something a bit different.
Turn your sound on, click on the RED X in the photo and it will play in Windows Media................Brian.
As it is a # 3.5 MB download it will take a minute or two on cable or ADSL, a lot longer on Dial - Up.
The next club meeting is:
John Harvey in demonstration laps at Sydney Showground Homebush - 5.1.07. John is driving his old car the Bill Wells restored / Don Mackay Holden # 13.
