The upholstery was black and orange.
The power plant was a Grey Holden with triple 1- 3/4" SUs, and had an old Austin diff.

Built in Adelaide in 1979 by Roger Oliver for Alf Kamilow, has an original imported Edmonds body. No expense was spared in original build or later restoration. Good S.A. history. First raced at Speedway City, S.A. in 1980. Alf fitted a factory built Autocraft engine in 1990. Never raced with this engine and only has 30 minutes vintage running. Comes with semi enclosed trailer with electric brakes & power winch. Hi Brian, I am trying to locate my old Super Modified. It was built by Eric Palmer in the 60's and raced into the 70's, mainly at the EKKA. When I had the car I raced it for a while then sold it to a fellow in Lismore (minus Motor) in the early 80's. The Lismore guys don't seem to want to answer any of my letters. Thank you.I know it is a long shot but I was wondering if this Mini Modified that I raced in Victoria in the late 1970's maybe out there somewhere. Brian, this old car is very similar to a mid 30’s dirt track car, or even an early Indy car.
Specifications are Big Chrysler 6 cylinder flat head engine, fully recond, ¾ race. Currently I am just finishing assembly of the engine to put it in the car. 3x side draft Rochester carbs on a manifold I made, 2 x 2/14” exhausts. The gearbox is a Chrysler 3 speed with a remote control shifter, centerforce US clutch, 12v starter etc. The rear end is a quick change from Ernie Ford, 1939 Ford axles etc, 1948 hydraulic brakes on rear. Twin master cylinders, Ford front axle converted to side springs, so the car is a 3 springer. Front brakes are Ford pilot hydraulic, with 1936 Ford drums. Wheels are Ford wire—16” on rear, 17” front. The body is mostly from California, the scuttle is old used-ex Offy powered car (the bonnet side panels I have denote a big 4 cylinder engine. The alloy tail is new, all came from a deceased estate in Summerland California. The chassis is modified 1927 Essex. The steering box is Morris Cowley converted to centre steer. You will see from the photos that it is a very handsome car, and with ratio changes could be a dirt racer, flag / parade car at speedways, or run as a road racer. I don’t have a C.A.M.S log book, and it may not qualify as a pre war group J car with a quick change rear axle---- to apply for a log book the rear axle would need to be standard Ford V8 I think. 1947 "Pop Dryer" Midget For Sale
Excellent condition. This very nice looking and running car was still being run in vintage events until six years ago by it's 80-something year old owner. This all aluminum car has a very healthy V-8 sixty with Offenhauser heads, Edelbrock intake with two Strombergs on Alcohol via pressurized fuel system with hand and engine driven pump, crank driven water pump, twin magnetos, quick change rear end, in and out box, and a dry sump oiling setup. Also included are a spare new hood and several boxes of extra parts. A nice single axle custom built trailer with winch is also included.
